It gives me great pleasure to announce the first annual concert of "The Ultimate Soprano Recital Series” to showcase Baltimore’s own up and coming new talent. Concert to be held at Gilliam Concert Hall Morgan State University Carl J Murphy Fine Arts Center 2201 Argonne Dr Baltimore, MD 21251 featuring world renowned opera singer Kenneithia Mitchell former Ms. Morgan and current reigning Miss Maryland Shana Powell, Bass-Baritone Soloman Howard, Tenor Murvyn T Cannady, II and many more.
Date to be determined.......
This concert is in fulfillment of Ultimate Soprano's mission to present a recital series inclusive of workshops and excerpt showcases to various attending African American Churches, Universities and Institutes and to provide opportunities for artists to create, interpret, present, and perform artistic work. “Ultimate Soprano, Inc” has been in existence since August of 2000. Since its existence numerous schools and churches in the State of Maryland have requested work shops to teach their students and choir members’ proper singing technique and improve posture, placement, and form for the purposes of a more professional aesthetic and pleasing quality of sound. Individuals receive instruction collectively and directly. As a result many students and adults alike have been inspired to develop their God given talent and realize their dreams of becoming a singer, even to take private voice lessons and present solo concerts. Ultimate Soprano has also given musical showcases promoting Opera by performing works by African American composers. All of this has been possible through the instruction and performance of Ms. Kenneithia Mitchell. She is a well trained classical singer who has traveled the world abroad performing operas and classical works to great critical acclaim. She has a Bachelors degree in music performance from Morgan State University and a Masters degree from the world-renowned Juilliard School.
