About Us

Ms. Kenneithia Mitchell is the sole proprietor of  "The Ultimate Soprano". She was compelled to start this organization as a result of her travels and performance experience as a female African American opera singer; she noticed few opportunities being given for hire to young aspiring artists in the "Classical Field". This is not to say that all young artists are technically or emotionally prepared to step on to the stage especially as a paid artist.  However, for those that are ready the door is not usually open. Young artists need a nurturing and supportive environment to develop their talents as well as a frequent professional performance venue. This is where Ultimate Soprano, Inc bridges the gap. We not only mentor, educate, motivate and nurture young hopefuls; we give them an "Open Door" to explore their talents and abilities by presenting their potential and development before a live audience. The energy and excitement one receives from performing on stage before a live audience is a thrill not soon forgotten!!

As Ms. Mitchell is no stranger to the stage, she instills the importance of being disciplined, punctual  and well prepared. Her philosophy is," The better prepared the more fun you'll have". She believes in finding that "True Artistry", a lost and dying aesthetic. Yes it takes hard work and diligence but its all worthwhile in the end.

"A Short Statement of Beliefs"

By:

Kenneithia Mitchell

1995-98 modified 2005

I am driven to perform. I will perform for large groups, small groups, in Baltimore, Maryland, my home town or outside of Baltimore. I perform in recitals, operas, plays, scenes and concerts. I have dedicated and will continue to dedicate my life to my vocal expression. I have trained and studied hour after hour, year after year to perfect my God-given talent. My performance is my vocal expression. I express anger, love, hate, tragedy, and a host of other emotions. My vocal expression may be loud or it may be soft. It may be high-pitched or low-pitched. It may also be beautiful and legato or it may be ugly and marcato. Whatever the expression, it is genuine and it belongs to me. However, I choose to share all of my expressions so that others may join in the emotion.

Dedication, diligence, patience, and the will for success all drive me to perform. God has blessed me with a phenomenal gift of expression: my voice. Every living creature has this gift whether it is heard or unheard. Nonetheless, I am motivated by Him who empowers me, to give what I am blessed with to the people of the world so that they may feel His presence through love, power, and joy.

I am God's creation and He takes pride in His children. I am blessed with the choice to do what I want in life and the power to accomplish what I put my mind to. This allows for individuality.

I have a distinctly personal philosophy towards interpretation. I believe that everyone adds his own expression to music. God made us individually with our own obstacles to overcome. Therefore I believe that personal life experiences influence our interpretations of music and audiences continue to pack the opera houses because they are expecting something exciting and different each time. I only expect that my creativity and interpretation will be interesting and pleasing to my audience.

Hope Ministries of Christ Worship Center

Hope Ministries of Christ Worship Center, HMOCWC, is a newly formulated body of believers, who have come together under the founding pastor, Dr. China M. Ashe. Her doors opened for the first time at 10:30 a.m. on Resurrection Sunday, April 16, 2007 at Pimlico Middle School, Baltimore, MD. In June 2006 HMOCWC moved to the MCEA auditorium at 7127 Rutherford Road, Baltimore, MD 21244 and continues to have worship services each Sunday until present. From its inception HMOCWC has been a sanctuary where the message focuses on teaching the congregants to live victoriously in every area of their lives. Often the messages are biblically dramatized for clarification and to bring to life the Word of God.
Monthly communion is held every 2nd Sunday, Children’s Church is held every 1st and 3rd Sunday, weekly telephone corporate prayer is held on Saturdays, weekly door to door evangelism is conducted in the community every Saturday, and weekly bible study has begun. Hope Ministries of Christ Worship Center also provides weekly transportation services to and from services for members and non-members. Ministry activities HMOCWC has engaged in over the past twelve months were:

• Father’s Day, which honors seven fathers who are overcomers of challenging situations
• Baccalaureate Ceremony honoring graduates
• Family & Friends Day, which celebrates and feasts with family and friends
• Christmas Giving for two families, which includes food supplies, a full Christmas Dinner, and gifts for all members of the families
• Completion of a 12-weeks Bible Study entitled “Biblical Millionaires, which is based on Gen. 1:26-28, Deut. 8:18, and Proverbs. Attendees included HMOCWC’s members and non members, who were trained to operate successfully financially in their environment. Methods of learning included readings, discussions, assignments, games, and attending movies, workshops, and seminars. Attendees completed their personal profit and loss statements, mission statements, and a written financial plan for obtainment of wealth.
• Establishment of Hope’N’Hoping Bookstore founded by 11-years-old Raeshawnda Mitchell, who heard from God and implemented a plan to obtain the start-up capital for the bookstore. Hope’N’Hoping Bookstore’s Grand Opening is slated for May 2008.
